All The Lessons I Have Learned From Losing Love

Although losing love is painful there is much to be learned from it. When I was in a relationship, one of my biggest fears was the loss of the relationship. I had repeated nightmares that our relationship had ended and on waking the next morning, I reached out across the bed and felt enormous relief that he was still beside me. But then my nightmares came true.

Perhaps all those dreams were a message from my future self.

One day he ended our relationship and with it, the love we shared vanished too. I was certain that we had a long and happy future together because there was so much love between us, at least I felt it. So when he harshly pulled it away, I felt my world crumble. I had built up my happiness around him and our relationship, and I was at a complete loss. It turns out that losing his love was the start of finding new parts of myself and growing in confidence and bravery.
